Ani's Green Post Workout Shake

The Saga of Wink Shakes continue! Mrs. Wink actually does make this exact shake after each of her favorite workout classes (which include but are not limited to: Barre, Pilates, Kickboxing, Zumba, Yoga, and anything else that lets her showcase her collection of black athleisure).

This smoothie (shake? smoothie? maybe one day we'll figure out the difference) is loaded with minerals and iron from the kale and spinach. The chia, flax, and hemp seeds offer awesome amounts of plant protein and a good balance of Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. The banana and the Cake Batter Wink help offset any "protein" taste from the protein powder. With almost ZERO sugar (!!!!) this is truly a great powerhouse meal in a glass. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 Handful of Kale
  • 1 Handful of Spinach
  • 1/2 of a Banana
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground Flax
  • 1/2 tablespoon Chia Seeds
  • 1/2 tablespoon Hemp Seeds
  • 1 Cup Almond Milk - We've been using our homemade version for the last few videos but have finally run out! Store-bought milk will do just fine today ;) 
  • 2 Scoops Cake Batter Wink
  • 1 Scoop Vegan Vanilla Protein Powder - we prefer pea protein, of course!

Blend the ingredients until you can't blend any more! Sprinkle with some chia seeds for kicks, and enjoy those endorphins.
